7 Of The World's Best Cities For Luxury Shopping!

Shopping is one of world's favorite pastimes, an exciting activity that invigorates you as well as gives you a good workout. The following places, however, are not your average shopping sites. The shopping in these seven cities is all about luxury brands and they are the best places in the world for just that.

1. Paris, France

Parisians are well known for their sense of style and taste in fashion. If you are looking for a place to shop in Paris, the Champs Elysees is the place to go! The wide trademark sidewalks and iconic Arc de Triomphe will be all too familiar, even to those that have not been there before.

Champs Elysees is known for its theaters, cafes and of course, its luxury shops. You will find shops such as Lacoste, Hugo Boss, Banana Republic, Abercrombie & Fitch, Dior, Chanel and many more. The Louis Vuitton store at 101 Champs Elysees is a must visit, the building's architecture is the only one of its kind in the world!

While you're there you can check out restaurants such as Le Chiq, a fancy restaurant located at the Four Seasons Hotel at 31 Avenue George V. They serve gourmet French cuisine and are known to be a great place for special occasions and romantic dinning. If you do want to stop by, make a reservation beforehand and dress properly for the experience.

Another place to try out is Alleno Paris, run by Chef Alleno who constructs an entire meal around a core dish after asking you to choose a key ingredient of either vegetables, meat or fish for the main. Interesting right? Alleno Paris is located at Avenue Dutuit, Pavillon Ledoyen in Paris.

2. London, UK

It's undeniable that London is a great city for shoppers, from High Street to Piccadilly Market, there's sure to be something for everyone. For luxury shopping, however, head over to Bond Street in the West End of London.

The famous street is home to auction houses Sotheby's and Bonhams. Many of the stores on the street are occupied by fashion boutiques such as flagship stores for Ralph Lauren and Cartier. The luxury fashion brand Valentino had also announced plans for a new store on the street earlier this year (2015).

Other big names along the street are De Beers, Harry Winston, Bulgari and Asprey. There are also many specialty stores for men's suites that carry Italian labels.

You will be able to find many places to eat. Aqua Nueva is a modern looking, swanky tapas restaurant located on Argyll Street. They have the recognizable tapas such as patatas bravas and pana con tamate, as well as grilled cuttlefish with brandada and Galician style octopus with empanada. Their cocktails are also very popular among their patrons, such as their Vesper Martini and Singapore Sling.

Goodman Mayfair brings a New York steakhouse to London! Located on Maddox Street, this cool place has dark-wood paneling, leather booths and a bar/counter running the length of the restaurant. Their steaks include the 400g ‘Goodman rib eye' from the US and 100g bone-in sirloin and bone-in rib-eye steaks. Their wine list include wines from Spain, Argentina and the US.

3. Los Angeles, US



The City of Angels is well known for the luxury shopping to satisfy every one of your needs. You know the ZIP code of this area; you even know the name. That's right you guessed it, it's Rodeo Drive, 90210 Beverly Hills!

Though the shops here only take up three city blocks the street is filled with more than a hundred boutiques and luxury hotels. For the sake of dropping some names, the brands here include Hermes, Hugo Boss, Chanel, Max Mara, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo and Tom Ford, just to name a few. This Beverly Hills street won't disappoint.

If you get hungry there are many restaurants in and near the area such as 208 Rodeo, a restaurant located directly opposite Tiffany's & Co. that features contemporary California cuisine. If you're in the mood for seafood, the Pacific Seafood Grill at 206 North Rodeo Drive is the place to go. Their menu is printed daily as they only serve the freshest seafood in Beverly Hills.

4. Hong Kong

Those who have been to the financial district in the center of Hong Kong will know that there is an impressive collection of luxury boutiques there. The shops in the area are located in a series of buildings such as Alexandra House, Chater House and Prince's Building.

Recognizable brands such as Prada, Chanel, Dior and all the other big names have a presence here. Other than luxury retail brands, there are also specialty shops such as Paule Ka for French fashion, Ascot Chang for hand-tailored Italian suites and Baccarat for beautiful jewelry.

Hong Kong also has some luxury restaurants that are definitely worth a try. Ryugin is a restaurant with a view, located on the 101st floor of Hong Kong's tallest building ICC and serves up modern Japanese Cuisine. Ming Court at Langham Place Hotel offers Cantonese fine dining, if you would like something a bit more from the country, the restaurant also boasts two Michelin stars for its fusion of traditional and modern cuisine.

You know that Monte Carlo will provide a luxurious shopping experience for anyone, it's a given. You will be able to find prestigious haute couture labels along with the familiar brands all in this enchanted area.

Cercle d'Or, in Monte Carlo's heart, is where you will find many of the elegant shops, as well as at the Métropole, Allées Lumières and Fontvielle shopping centers and not forget the futuristic Monte-Carlo Pavilions where you will also find high-end retail shopping.

Overall there are more than 4,000 brands at Monte-Carlo for your purchasing pleasure. 6. New York, US

The Big Apple, is there a better city? Maybe, depends on whom you ask, but we love it! For luxury shopping in the city that never sleeps, you want to head to the-ever-popular Fifth Avenue (5th Ave.). Look familiar? Sex and the City is synonymous with the area, as 5th Avenue and East 57th Street was one of the many locations for the series to be filmed.

Some big names on the street are Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman department store as well as brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Gianni Versace, Fendi, Bulgari, Brooks Brothers, Bottega Veneta and so many more.

7. Milan, Italy

The fashion capital of the world, Milan! Many world-renowned designers have started their careers in this beautiful city; names like as Giorgio Armani, Mila Schon, Gianni Versace, Miuccia Prada, Franco Moschino, all launched their brands here. The city will surely be shopping paradise for any fashion lover.
