6 Really Awesome Luxury Hotels We Hope To See Soon

As travelers, we love to have unique experiences. Whether it's from an adventure, a beautiful country, or an awesome hotel, these experiences are why we love to travel. They also make for great stories.

We found some of these concept hotels that are super cool and are set to bring fantasy to reality. These are 6 really (and I mean really) awesome luxury hotel concepts we hope to see soon.

1. Poseidon Undersea Resort

This concept makes my inner child jump with joy. To be able to stay in an underwater palace is all too dream-like. The Poseidon Undersea Resort is just that. Set to be constructed by US Submarine Structures, off the coast of Fiji, this underwater kingdom will definitely be the first of its kind.

According to their website you will be able to play around with a personal Triton submarine through the lagoon, explore the depths of the ocean on a 1,000-foot luxury submersible and scuba-dive. There will be a marine-focused spa, two fine dining establishments (one on land and one below), fitness amenities that include a nine-hole golf course, tennis court and more.

The Poseidon Mystery Island is approximated to be 225-acres and surrounded by 5000-acres of lagoon.

Unfortunately, it was set to open in 2008, and has yet to be confirmed since. I really do hope it does happen!

2. Shimao Wonderland InterContinental

This place looks like a location for a James Bond movie don't you think? The concept is for the hotel to be carved into the side or edge of an abandon quarry that is located outside Shanghai.

The resort is going to feature 328 suites designed in a cascading manner towards to lagoon down below, and the lowest levels will be below the water of the 90-meter-deep lagoon.

The hotel will include facilities for extreme sports such as rock climbing and bungee jumping as well as conference halls, banquet halls, restaurants and cafes.

Set to be completed by 2017 (hopefully), and yes construction had already begun in 2015.

3. Lofoten Opera Hotel

This beautiful hotel concept is planned to be in Norway. The building's design concept gives it a sleek, snake-like architecture that will allow visitors to view the amazing scenery that surrounds its location from various angles.

The 11000-square-meter structure will be in Lofoten, in the middle of the majestic landscape. Facilities that will be available include apartments, a spa, an amphitheater and a hotel.

It was scheduled to be open in late 2015, however, the status on their official website is ongoing. Let's get ready for a visit real soon! Yes, I'm being optimistic!

4. Salt & Water Floating Hotel

According to salt & water's website that floating hotel concept is to be at Zvornik Lake, an artificial lake at the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia that was constructed in 1954.

Guests can stay in one of the floating rooms/apartments that are all uniquely designed catamarans that can easily be navigated freely away from the docks. Each apartment can accommodate 2-4 people and consists of a salon, a galley, a bathroom, a hall with storage space and a sleeping area (above the salon).

This hotel would definitely provide an experience worth telling others about. A vacation not by the lake, but ON IT!

5. Keemala Resort

If you're already itching to go to one of these one-of-a-kind hotels, well, this one is already completed. Yes, that means it is open and you can make a reservation for a visit.

Located in beautiful Phuket in Thailand, Keemala Resort is luxury resort concept that consist of cozy huts, tree house pools and terrace herb gardens. Tucked away in the protection of the forest along the Adaman Sea, this tropical wonderland is a wellness destination that is designated only for adults.

6. Dawang Mountain

A resort that is partially suspended over a quarry. The Dawang Mountain resort will have two contrasting environments, a lake with sunken gardens below and a snow center above. Located in Changsha, China and called the Deep Pit Ice and Water World, the area will also have a 100-meter-high tower that will house over 300 suites in the form of a 5-star hotel.

The resort will have areas for restaurants and shopping, on top of the water park and Entertainment Ice World with an Indoor Ski Slope, that covers a total of 120,000 square-meters.

The resort was scheduled for completion in 2016!
